Midget A Hawks players selected (Posted on January 27, 2010)

Four players from the Midget A Hawks were selected to the Southern team

for the Central Midget League "A" All Star game on Sunday January 24th in

Lewisville. They defeated the Eastern division by a score of 5-2. All

four played very well and represented KVMHA proudly. Devin Williams was

selected Southern Team MVP in the game. The players in the picture from left to

right are: Rane Giffin, Cody Munford, Connor Moore (with the Championship

trophy) and Devin Williams (with the MVP trophy). Don Doiron of the Midget A

Hawks was selected as one of the coaches for the Southern Team.






Team Managers Meeting (Posted on October 15, 2009)

There is a Team Managers Meeting on Thursday night, October 22nd @ 6:30pm at the Quispamsis Recreation Centre.

All teams should have a representative present at the Managers Meeting as things change every year. There will be very important conversations regarding bank accounts and the process to open them, travel permits, fundraising, insurance and cross border tournaments. There is a lot to go through but the meeting should only take about an hour to an hour and a half.



Details announced for Bauer Design-a-Mask contest (Posted on October 5, 2009)

For the seventh year, goalie masks designed by young Canadians will be front and centre at the IIHF World Junior Championship thanks to the Bauer Design-A-Mask contest. Two winners will be chosen, one in the 12-and-Under category and one in the 13-to-18 category.

Hockey Canada Safety Person Course (Posted on September 18, 2009)

Dear KVMHA Volunteers,

KVMHA will be hosting a Hockey Canada Safety Person Course on October 24th, 2009
.

This course will be held at The Community Room in the Rothesay Arena. The course will begin at 9:00am and continue until 4:00pm. You are required to be present for the entire course to receive your certification.

Speak Out Course Schedule (Posted on September 18, 2009)

Dear KVMHA Volunteers,

KVMHA will be hosting Speak Out Courses on the following dates: 

  • September 29th, 2009


  • October 13th, 2009


  • October 27th, 2009


  • November 17th, 2009


  • December 1st, 2009


These courses will be held at Rothesay High School in room 103. The course will begin at 6:00pm and continue until 10:00pm. You are required to be present for the entire 4 hours.

KVMHA Registration for 2009 - 2010 is now closed (Posted on September 7, 2009)

KVMHA would like to thank everyone for registering for the upcoming 2009 - 2010 season. Registration is now closed. If you missed membership registration please e-mail
Paula Forbes and your child will be placed on a waiting list. Please include in the email: players name, date of birth, position played and phone number.

NOTE: We are still accepting membership in the KV Community Hockey Program.

Use Your Head! (Posted on June 27, 2009)
While KVMHA instituted a mandatory helmet policy for 2008 - 2009, it should be noted that Hockey New Brunswick passed a motion starting with the 2009 - 2010 season that helmets must be worn for all those participating under Hockey New Brunswick, essentially stating that all on-ice participants including instructors, coaches and assistants must wear a CSA approved properly fastened helmet for all sanctioned on-ice sessions, including clinics.

Tim Furrow Award - Presented annually to the person who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, dedication and a true love of the game

Coach of The Year  - Valuable contributions to our hockey playing youth; Shows and teaches respect to the officials and parents; Embraces the philosophy of Fair Play; Demonstrates a concern for the all round development of the players
